Foxuma 🦊

Built in a real shop, for real shops.

Foxuma is the work hub for cabinet, millwork and trades shops — leads, projects, production, payroll and invoicing in one place. It was not designed in a boardroom. It grew up on a shop floor.

Who makes Foxuma

Foxuma is built and run by York Region Web Studio, a small web studio in York Region, Ontario. The studio builds websites and systems for local businesses — Foxuma is the system it built when one of those businesses needed more than a website.

That business is Newood Millwork, a custom cabinet shop in Concord, Ontario. Foxuma's builder is a programmer who works inside Newood — in the office, next to the shop floor — so the product was shaped by real jobs, real install dates and real pay periods, and it is tested by a working shop every single day. Newood runs its whole operation on Foxuma.

Why it knows the trade

Generic project tools assume every job is a task list. A shop job is a quote that becomes a project, materials that get used up, a production board, an install date, mileage, punch cards at pay time and an invoice at the end. Foxuma follows that shape because that is the work its builder sees every day:

The builder

Foxuma is designed, built and supported by one programmer at York Region Web Studio — the same person who works inside the millwork shop that runs on it. When something does not fit the trade, it gets fixed by someone who has watched the trade up close.
